The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house using a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house income would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all nsfas status South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in nsfas check any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not click here to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
